Play-Doh is a modeling compound used by young children for art and craft projects at home and at school. Consisting of flour, water, salt, boric acid and mineral oil, the product was first manufactured in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, as a wallpaper cleaner in the 1930s [1] When a class of children began to use own wallpaper as composed of modeling, the product was reworked and marketed in the Cincinnati schools in mid 1950 Play-Doh was demonstrated at an education conference in 1956 and opened the first department store retail accounts plan.
